Laundry
08.31.04 (8:45 am)   [edit]
I assumed that the laundromat would be quiet on a Monday evening. I was wrong. Arguing couples, people muttering to themselves and there were several screaming children throwing themselves around the building. More than once I heard "No, you can't have that. No. Okay, one more." Maybe because I am not a parent I can't really say this, but I am going to anyway.... in my opinion if you say no, it is no. You don't change your mind 2 seconds later. And like your snotty nosed brat of a kid really needs another candy bar. If you have to bring your kid to the landromat at least bring them something to do... a coloring book or god forbid a book. I really don't appreciate tripping over them on my way to get my underwear. These are probably the same kids that you let push the cart at the grocery store... and the reason I have bruises on my legs after a shopping trip.

Sorry, this is a bit of a pet peeve for me. I love kids, but I am not fond of the little Lord of the Flies type. It makes me want to do all my shopping at midnight when all I have to deal with are the strange stock guys.

Jugs
08.30.04 (7:06 am)   [edit]
Worked at the bookstore this Saturday. It was nice to be back... I had to refrain from buying too many books. I did allow myself a copy of Simon Winchester's Krakatoa. Brilliant and funny man.... can make dry subjects interesting. I also got "Jump the Shark" and a book on the Ig Noble awards.. though that one will probably go to my dad.

As I was getting ready to go meet Lynne at Arbor Brewing I decided to run across the street to 16 Hands to see if Kay was there. Guido and Joe were bringing out the tables since the rain seemed to have stopped for awhile. We all commented on this car that was honking at someone on the other side of the street. There were 3 20ish guys in the car. Of course, I chose their car to run in front of. When I got back to the store G and J were looking at me strangly. They asked if I heard what the guys yelled as I ran across the street. I hadn't, but then I tune out a lot of the noise on the streets. I guess the driver yelled "Look at those jugs bounce". Jugs? I hadn't heard breasts refered to as "jugs" in years... like 20 years. I just had to laugh... I also said that I wish I had heard them 'cause those are the boys I want to go out with. *lol* It is nice to know I made someone's day. I think G/J were a little suprised that I wasn't upset. What would the point be? If they were sitting outside at one of the resturants I might go over and say that wasn't appreciated, but they were long gone before I heard the tale. Besides I do bounce when I run... can't do anything about that.

Anyone else get comments like that? How did you react?

Just one of those days
08.27.04 (1:52 pm)   [edit]
They were supposed to put in new carpet in the hallway at work... which is pretty annoying because we have to take the back stairs and finding a different bathroom to use. Here is the email that was sent out to us... one of our facilities guys has a fun sense of humor....

"Just prior to installation, it was discovered (after demolition) that the
carpet brought was mauve in color with yellow snakes.

After consulting to make sure nobody was having a drastic failure of
either memory or judgment, it was determined the wrong carpet was loaded
at the warehouse by the installation company.

What remains unclear, is whose carpet was just ruined by being cut in
half; a riverboat casino or 19th century Parisian salon remain strong
possibilities."

We went out as a unit for a pizza lunch and just got back... and I only have an hour left. Yeah!!! Have a great weekend all!!

Shopper does naked tango
Thursday, August 26, 2004BY AMALIE NASH
News Staff Reporter

An employee of a department store at Briarwood Mall told police a customer stripped off the bathing suit he was trying on and then attempted to do the tango with her while naked, Ann Arbor Police said.

The incident occurred Tuesday, but wasn't reported until Wednesday after the man apparently returned to the store, police said.

The 21-year-old woman told police she was working in Marshall Field's in the men's department when the man approached her and asked her to help him pick out a suit coat, reports said. She said he soon grabbed some bathing suits to try on, went in the dressing room and emerged wearing a suit several sizes too small, police said.

The employee said the man asked her how he looked, and she offered to get a larger suit for him, reports said. She said he went into the dressing room and he came out wearing a thong-type suit, then stripped it off and said he liked being naked, reports said.

The woman said the man began dancing around and grabbed her, then tried to tango with her, reports said. The woman broke free and the man left while she went to tell store security.

Humid sticky day
08.26.04 (9:06 am)   [edit]
I really haven't had too much to say these days and nothing is jumping up and down and asking me to write about it. Also, my hands hurt a lot by the end of the work day, so I figure I should probably limit my typing to work related things. I am not sleeping well, also due to hand issues. Meaning I am a bit grumpy these days. Last night I locked myself out of my house.... luckily my landlady was home and had a spare set of keys. She also gave me some cucumbers from her garden. :)

Happy news though....
-Got my address changed and changed my voter registration.
-Went and got my parking sticker so I can drive in to work
-Gary comes home to visit in less than a week
-I have an eye appointment Monday and hopefully will be able to see again
-Going to the movies with Lynne tonight.

So, there I ended on a happy note.

Shopping bug
08.24.04 (12:35 pm)   [edit]
I am not normally a big shopper. I hate shopping for shoes and clothes. Really I only like to go shopping when I have something I want to buy. Unfortunatly for my bank balance there has been a lot I things I have wanted. I bought my bookcases, new towels, pillows and other home items. I also have added some dvds and cds to my collections. I got Princess Bride, One Hour Photo and My Big Fat Greek Wedding. The cds are Jollie Holland and Black Eyed Peas... and I ordered one by Lanterna. I also made the mistake of going to Michaels. But I was strong and didn't go to Office Depot... I have to let my bank account settle before I do too much more, but Target has a lot of DVDs that I want for $10.....

Are you a shopper? Is there anything you HATE shopping for?

Cancer on my laryngitis
08.23.04 (7:55 am)   [edit]
I managed to survive the weekend in one piece... it was a bit questionable since I was putting together my bookcases (3 of them and 1 cube storage unit) while feeling a bit klutzy. I was also using my drill... do power tools and accident prone people belong together. The bookcases are nice, but are pressed board which are heavier than anything else on earth! Of course I didn't have anyone around to help me unload them from the car, so today I have a few more bruises added to my collection.

Saturday I went with C and her husband to the grand openning of C's sister's party store. They had a pig roast and everything. It was pretty darn tasty. After that I went home and tried to rest up for my big night out in Jackson. We started out at the IHOC (International House of Cow=Outback Steakhouse) and I had a Wallabe Darn and when I got down toward the bottome of the glass I realized it was cracked... the server brought me a free one! (A nice start to the evening) After I finished my 2nd frozen peach drink we made our way to the Hunt Club, but it was pretty quiet so we only stayed a little while. Our 3rd destination was Pauly's, which is just down the street from me. They rope off the parking lot on race weekends so it is a big out door party. They were serving J-ello shots in giant syringes.... the green apple was very tasty... and very strong. I must say there were some very rode hard put away wet sort of women out that night. There was one guy I kept having to laugh at... he had a good body.. nice arms, which he showcased by wearing a too tight plaid cowboy shirt with the sleeves ripped out. He also had on too tight jeans and cowboy boots. But he obviously spent too much time out in the sun without protection because he was pretty old looking.

We then made our way to our final destination Club Ludwigs. I guess up until 6 months ago there was red shag carpeting on the walls. We were standing in line to get in and this woman walked out telling her friends that there was so much smoke in the club that she was going to get "cancer in her laryngitis". Got a good chuckle out of it. This was the last fun to be had for the evening. While we were in line C's friend C2 looked around and saw that we were the only white people in the line. She said she wasn't sure she wanted to pay $4 to get in if it was going to be the same way in the club. I said it wouldn't bother me. She responded that it would once they were hitting on me. I said as long as they are decent guys I don't care... that I don't like it when scuzzy white guys hit on me either. It all sort of when downhill from there. She started talking about how "they are always taking over our bars" and how she was "always worried they were going to start fights". I said you have to worry the same at redneck bars. But my comments were lost on her. I just got so frustrated with her. I don't think I will be hanging out with her very much. I was upset that a fun evening had to end on such a sour note.

Sunday I worked on the house some more and am happy with how it is coming along. My friends Derek and Lucius were my first official guests. They came down for a little while and we got dinner at the Big Boy. We shared a mint ice cream brownie sundae for dessert. It was lovely.

Well, time to process some periodicals... more later

Caffeine and bookcases
08.20.04 (6:51 am)   [edit]
Well, I made it to the end of my first week commuting. It hasn't been too bad thus far. My friend Carrie, who does the driving, stopped and got us McDonald's for breakfast this morning. And she knows me well enough to get me a Large Diet Coke. This morning I really needed it. My old roomie Z called last night needing a shoulder, so I was up a little later than I had intended. So, it is going to be a mega caffeine sort of morning.

Last night I got the rest of my kitchen in order. Everything is in it's place. All the dishes are washed. Now all I need to do is get groceries and I am all set. I also got the last bit of stuff out of my car... it is now empty except for 3 books and a handful of beads under the driver's seat. Finally, I was able to move some of the stuff from the bedroom out to the garage. Tomorrow I am going to buy some bookcases... Target has 5 shelf ones on sale for $26.... so even if the only last a year with all the weight I am going to put on them I will be okay with it. The next task is to go looking for a futon when my security deposit comes back. I think I would rather sleep on the floor then the mattress I currently have.

So far I am really enjoying living in Jackson. I think once I am able to get out and explore the city I will like it even more. This weekend is a race weekend... there is a race track near by and the town will be filled with NASCAR fans. C and I are going out this weekend with her friend Courtney. I was told we were making the Circuit... which involves 3 different bars. Maybe Monday I will have some stories to tell. :)

Time to process periodicals... more later.

Gross things and stats
08.19.04 (9:47 am)   [edit]
Just looking at my stats and saw that if you type "gross things" into google my site comes up number 18. "Boxes to move" came up number 4 in the Neterlands Google. I rated high with "sparkling teeth", but mainly because I spelled it "Sparkaling" Someone found me by searching "messiah college baseball pictures". Another odd search was "nose count"

This sort of thing makes me a bit more careful about my google searches.

It takes all kinds....
08.19.04 (6:55 am)   [edit]
After I left the library I hopped the Link down to the bookstore to pick up my check. I had to rush in and out because I need to meet Carrie at the car in order to get home. As I was getting off the bus, I see a new Ann Arbor character... this man had tin foil wrapped around him... arms, legs, torso, head. There was a box sitting next to him that had writing, but it was too small for me to read on the go... then he started doing the Mr. Roboto dance. It was very bizzare, even by Ann Arbor standards. Wish I could have taken a picture, but I guess it is something you just have to experience for yourself.

More later...

update
08.18.04 (7:05 am)   [edit]
It is a sleepy sort of day. We had a crazy storm last night with lots of thunder and lightening. I always enjoy thunderstorms.

I have a feeling this is going to be a rough morning. I am tired and just spilled water on myself. Also, I hit my head really hard on the shower door this morning. I think I am going to sit at my desk as much as possible to avoid further problems.

I have been having problems with my hands the last few days. Where it hurt to type or talk on the phone. I went to the doctor yesterday and he thinks it is carpal tunnel, but had me schedule an appointment for an EMG test to find out for sure. Because of the pain I havne't been able to unpack much which is a bit annoying because I want it done.

Bah... I guess I am just in a whiny mood today. I will come back when I am feeling better. :)

k

p.s. I found everything to mail out the cards to those of you who gave me your addresses. I will mail them out at lunch this afternoon.

Heaven on a stick
08.16.04 (7:05 am)   [edit]
I have officially moved to Jackson. Well, not according to the Secretary of State, but that will be taken care of this week. My friend Val sent me my first piece of mail.... it was nice that it wasn't a bill. The rest of the move went pretty smoothly. Friday my dad helped me move my bed and some other stuff down to the new place. It was odd being in my A2 apartment without any pets.... I have gotten a lot of stuff unpacked and several bookcases are already filled... I need to go shopping for a couple more and I should be good to go. I also have to figure out how to set up the bead area.

I hadn't been in my new home for an hour when my friend Carrie showed up to take me to the County Fair. Wow. I hadn't been to a CF before... I have been to small city fairs, but not a fair with livestock. Interesting people come out to the fair. I felt very pretty that night. :D We didn't go on any of the rides, but just made our way around the food court. Carrie's friend Courtney came along... for a tiny girl she sure can eat... She had fries, a large lemonade, corn dog, carmel apple, ice cream and cotton candy. I had fries, ice cream and a deep fried Snickers bar... that's right, heaven on a stick. I am so lucky these aren't available all the time, because it would be a bad thing. For those of you who aren't familiar with this fair treat... imagine a corn dog only the batter is sweeter and the center is a melted Snickers bar and sprinkled with powdered sugar. It was almost orgasmic. If you get a chance you should really try it out. The only thing I would have changed was to have been able to have a big glass of milk.

Well, time to get to work... more later...

Pissed off kitty and moving jitters.
08.13.04 (8:33 am)   [edit]
Wow. I have been productive today. It is a bit scary. I was down to 1 animal last night... it was much calmer at my house. I took Moose down to the new place... he was not happy in the kitty carrier. Made horrible noises the whole 30 minute drive. As I type this my dad is probably at my apartment painting so I don't have my security deposit reduced. Have I said lately that my dad is the best?

I would have to guess that I have about 95% of the stuff out of my apartment. I hope to be done there tonight. But I will come back Sat to clean. Then I get to start unpacking at the new place. I am so ready to be through with this. My stomach is all in knots... it gets worse with each day. By Monday I should be fine.

Vending Machine Gripe and I hate Dasani
08.12.04 (1:19 pm)   [edit]
You wouldn't think that getting a caffeine free Diet Coke out of the vending machine, but you would be wrong. Several months ago I asked for CFDC be added... and after asking several people it happened. But then they added bottled water back to the machine (it was violating the vending contract) Now, they had to do some fixing of the machine... it would have 3 buttons coming from the same source. So last week I got Dasani instead of CFDC, thinking I pushed the wrong button I tried again. Same result occured. I asked our facilities person to see what was up. It was fixed and I was able to get my CFDC. I was happy. This morning I pushed the button and got Dasani again. THinking I pushed the wrong button I tried again and got my Diet Coke. This afternoon I tried again and got Dasani. I gave up and got regular old caffeinated Diet Coke. Of course they were out of envelopes to try and get my money back. *grr* I want to go home and go to sleep.

photo cards update
08.12.04 (11:28 am)   [edit]
To those of you who said you wanted me to send you one of the proto type cards I am going to be mailing them out next week. I got some I really like and once my move is complete I will be sending them out. It isn't to late to sign up if you want one. I will even ship overseas if you aren't in the U.S. For your input you get a card you can send, frame or recycle which ever suits your fancy. :)

k

p.s. it is damn cold here!

New day new problem
08.12.04 (9:43 am)   [edit]
Thelma is going to Gary's parents tonight. I am torn. I loved having her at my house, but it will be nice not to have to rush home to let her out. She was very cute last night, all happy and bouncy. So was Chance. All 3 animals wanted to be in my lap at once. I believe Peter is back today, but I am not sure what time, so I may have C for another day.

I managed to clean the carpets last night. I will check today to see if I did a good job of it. I got the 2 bedroom closets cleaned out which was nice. I am going to try and load up the van tonight so I can make another run down to Jackson on Friday. I got most of the stuff out of the bathroom as well. I have to get as much out of the apartment tonight since my dad is coming down to help me paint sometime either Friday or Sat. I could be in my new place Sat night! Yeah!

k

P.S. Today's work aggrevation is repeating dates for patterns. So, if my title is a weekly with consecutive numbering ... i.e. 866,867,868... Aleph wants to keep the dates the same... so all issues would have the date Jan 15, 2004. Bah!!!!

Roman Numerals
08.11.04 (12:34 pm)   [edit]
As if this new system didn't aggrevate me enough, now it is turning all my issue numbering into roman numerals. Which if I only have to change a few numbers that is fine, but when it is a weekly publication it pisses me off. This is especially true when it is whole numbering... and I have 52 issues from 631-682.

Thanks for the mini vent.

Cough
08.11.04 (7:27 am)   [edit]
Why is it I only get sick when I have a ton of things to do? I woke up this morning with a serious cough and a sore throat. I think I am going to blame this one on Cyberpal.... and make him pass the Popsicles. Tonight I have to finish cleaning out the bedrooms and load more stuff into the van. Then I need to clean the carpets after T's illness. My dad was nice enough to bring down the carpet cleaner.

Well, off to a meeting in a few.

k

P.S. I entered this weeks featured blog contest, so if you haven't voted please feel free to vote for me. If not, that is okay I have almost 18,000 tbucks I can use to run again. :)

Test subjects
08.10.04 (9:01 am)   [edit]
Yesterday I mentioned my new card line. Today I thought I would ask if any of you would like to be my guinea pigs? If you send me your address I can send you a sample card and you can let me know what you think. You can send me a message via tblurt or chicalookate@netscape.net. I promise not to stalk you or send your address to soliciters. Well, unless you give me a bad review. Just kidding. Honestly. Seriously, I would really appreciate any input you could give me.

Thanks,

k

Pricing
08.09.04 (9:34 am)   [edit]
So, after hearing from many of you about doing something with my photos, I am going to try making cards with them. I am doing the lo tech way right now, using scrapbooking photo mounts and pictures I have had developed. For Christmas I also want to try making some larger copies and mount them for sale. The question is what to charge for the cards. I am going to offer them individually and then as set... probably 8 different cards within a theme. What would you be willing to pay... that is if you have checked out some of my photos. I was thinking for the set I would make them a bit cheaper. What do you think?

The gross things dogs do
08.09.04 (7:06 am)   [edit]
Gack. This has been quite a weekend. I spent most of Friday nixt packing up the van for another trip to Jackson. I got all of my stuff out of my storage unit in the basement of the complex. The good news was that I had less than I thought. The bad news was getting it upstairs. Of course I had 2 trips left when my Mormon neighbors got home and offered to help. (My dad is coming down to help move furniture.)Saturday I went visit my family up in Flint, got to go swimming and have coneys. Sunday I woke up to find out that one of the dogs was sick. I thought it was Chance, seeing as how I didn't see T eat anything she should have. After I got home from dropping stuff off in Jackson I realized that it was T after all. I had taken Chance back to Peter's while I was gone and he was mess free. Which made me happy becaus P worries when he goes out of town and I didn't want to have to tell him that his dog did gross stuff in my apartment. *Now this is going to be gross, so if you are squemish please skip ahead.* Not only had she vomited, but she had the AP (Ass Piss) too. Rank let me tell you. Of course she had hit all 3 rooms. I cleaned it up the best I could. I shut the doors and slept on the couch thinking she would wake me up.... big NO. I went to the restroom to find that she hit there too... well, I was going to get rid of that rug anyway. I was almost sick from cleaning it up. I haven't fed her since yesterday morning and I gave her some Immodium stuff that Gary had for her... hopefully she will be over this soon. *Gross part over* On a happier note I got 6 loads of laundry done.... and I started setting up the kitchen in my new place!!!!

How was your weekend?
k

Wanna go out?
08.06.04 (7:19 am)   [edit]
I ended up work at the bookstore last night, so I didn't get to load up the van with more stuff. I guess I will do that tonight. I also need to do laundery in a serious way. I have become such a homebody these last few months.... it is difficult to even get up the desire to go out and do anything. I don't really have a problem with this, but I was thinking as I was walking to work that if I want to date I probably need to get out and be seen in public. I also had the sad thought that I have had 3 dates in 2 years.... and none of them were anything to write about. It is just aggrevating. And I am not sure what to do about it. I don't need the whole happily ever after, but some kissing and cuddling would be nice. Everything else in my life is looking up and going great, but this one area is just not there yet. *sigh* Okay, this is depressing me, so I am going to get some work done... maybe I will find something a little more fun to write about later. Maybe a bus story or a creepy club member to write about... I think there might be 1 or 2 left.

Ponderings
08.05.04 (12:01 pm)   [edit]
Things I have wondered about recently.

1)Why single servings of things cost almost the same as the jumbo family size.

2)Why women wear pants that are so tight it hurts me to watch them try and move in them.

3)Flip Flops with heels... why?

4)How anyone thinks a skirt with a ruffle at their butt does anything but make their but look big.

5)How someone lets their dog shit on the sidewalk and doesn't feel the need to clean it up.

Naming your car
08.05.04 (9:36 am)   [edit]
ScubaDiva and I were discussing naming cars today. I want to name my little ION, but I want to get a feel for her personality first. Wouldn't want to saddle a car with the wrong name. Have any of you named your cars? If so please share? Any suggestions for me? I was also considering getting a vanity plate, but I am not sure what I would get... you get 7 spaces and no profanity. Lots of things aren't available, but I can check it out.

Whirlwind
08.05.04 (8:48 am)   [edit]
I am now the proud owner of a 2004 Saturn ION2 in Electric Blue. It is an automatic and not a manual like I thought. I didn't have much time to drive it last night, so I am going to out driving tonight to get a feel for it. There was also a bit of a let down because I wasn't able to drive it around and show it off to friends. But I am over that now. I realized I am going to have to restart my way of thinking now.... I am so used to living my life by the bus schedule. It is going to be odd to be able to go somewhere anytime I want. I am sure I will get used to it soon, but in the meantime it is a bit strange. My stepdad managed to get me cheap insurance... it will only be $102 a month instead of $1000 for 6 months. And, as if my folks weren't nice enough they offered to make my first car payment since I have some moving costs.

Well, I am trying to be productive again today... I will write something non car related this afternoon

Walking in the rain
08.04.04 (11:43 am)   [edit]
Well, I just got off the car with Jill at Saturn and it looks like I can't get the car until this weekend. Just some paperwork that still needs to be signed. But I will get is Saturday. Which in someways is a bit better because I will have all day to enjoy it and not just a few hours. Plus it is still raining which is not my prefered conditions for driving. I get to leave in about and hour to go get the insurance, and since I am not going to be picking up the car I can put some more stuff in boxes.

bye for now

UPDATE: They are letting me take the car as a rental until they get the paperwork. Going round and round.

Productivity blockers
08.04.04 (9:49 am)   [edit]
Woke up to a crazy storm this morning about 4:15 am. At first I thought I overslept, but I looked at the alarm and realized I could get another couple hours in and rolled over and went back to sleep. I managed to get to work without getting soaked... just a bit damp. Once I made it to work I decided today would be a productive day. Then I remembered we had a meeting ... which went almost 2 hours. Then I remembered that I leave at 2 to go do car stuff. So my work day is really only 4 hours today. Not sure how productive that is going to be, but I will try.... I have to get my numbers up. *sigh* The good news is I am starting to figure out how to work around this crazy system of ours.... Wish me luck.

Car
08.03.04 (2:12 pm)   [edit]
I might get to get my car tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! I have to go get my insurance and then I can go pick it up. Of course I have to get the insurance in Jackson and then get back to Ann Arbor to get the car. But I am floating right now... My stepdad and mom are amazing!

P.S. I will have a friend take pictures of me with my car so I can share.

Tiny house
08.03.04 (7:15 am)   [edit]
I moved a whole van load full of stuff down to the new place. My friend Carrie came over and helped a bit. I keep forgetting how tiny my new place is... but it has lots of cupboards and storage space... plus it has a garage. I think I am going to be very happy once I am all settled in. I now need to start packing round 2. Which is the harder to figure out stuff.

Update on the car... I was supposed to go to the dealer tomorrow, but my stepdad got impatient... so he called and started the paperwork. Today he is calling insurance people for me. I think it is very sweet... So, it looks like I am getting a Saturn ION 2...in electric blue. How cute am I going to be in that car? I could have it by next week!!!

back to Aleph...

Boxes and boxes to move
08.02.04 (8:34 am)   [edit]
Last night I loaded the van up with about 40 boxes to move down to Jackson this evening. I am going to load up a few more when I get home. I was so sweaty by the time I finished I could hardly stand myself. Luckily I am not too sore today. Which makes me happy. And a bit suprised considering that 30 of the boxes were books. I am feeling good about this move. I think a change of scenery will do me good. But I as happy as I am about the move, I am equally nervous.

What century is this?

I was packing some more stuff up last night and ran across my most recent copy Prevention. Seeing it reminded me of an article I wanted to blog about. The article talks about a growing number of doctor's and pharmacists that won't perscribe the pill for moral reasons. They belive that it is causing a large number of "silent abortions" each year. I am on the pill for medical reasons and not for birth control and it disturbs me to think that I could be denied a perscription based on someone else's moral code. I did happen to go to the Catholic hospital for my dysfunctional uterine bleeding when I first moved here and was told that they would percribe the pill to stop the bleeding, but they wouldn't give me a year long perscription. Now, some of you may say just find a new doctor or pharmacist. But finding an OB-GYN is not easy. (Even in Ann Arbor where the U of M hospital systems is one of the best in the country.) And for many women it is hard to even get an appointment for their annual exam. Or if you are one of the many employeed at jobs where you don't get sick time, it would be difficult to schedule another appointment. I managed to find a doctor I know will never refuse to give perscriptions to the pill, but I worry about the women who aren't so lucky.

Lazy day
08.01.04 (3:09 pm)   [edit]
Just a quick little entry today. I am visiting my family for the afternoon... just got out of the new pool. Feeling a bit water logged. It would be nice to just be able to float along with a book and a drink. :D I will be taking the van back so I can start my move.

Last night my friend Russ came over and we ordered chinese food and watched a tape of "Most Extreme Elimination Challange" that my brother put together for me. Has to be one of the most bizarre things I have seen. Funny though. Has anyoen else seen it?

Well, back to being social with the family. See you all tomorrow.
