I have been so bad about writing lately. I just fell in to this funk the last week or so and haven't quite gotten out of it yet. The gallery opening was great, but I only had one friend show up. And so many of the other artists had lots of people there and I just felt very alone. And it hit me how many of my friends have moved away in the last couple years. That on top of extreme financial difficulties have just made things rough. Part of me wants to just sit and cry for awhile and the other part says "quit whining". We will see which side wins.

I survived the gallery opening. It was pretty packed and I managed to sell enough in the first 2 days to make my part of the store rent for the month and have a little left over. Sold quite a few cards and magnets, a couple bowls and 1 matted photo. I don't have to work until early october so I am curious as to how the rest of the month plays out.
Everything is at the Gallery... it just took 2 1/2 hours to price and inventory everything. It looks like everything is going to be great. November is my month for being one of the featured artists. (There are 2 for each month) So, I am trying to com up with new products to have for that month. I have tried making coasters and had no luck with getting a good seal on the image. But I have discovered I can have Cafe Press do it. So, you my dear readers (all 5 of you) please help me figure out what images I should put on them. I am going to offer them for individual sale. What do you think?
Spent most of the weekend sorting through piles o'stuff, being crafty and reading. Managed to do laundry and I am left to wonder where it all comes from. I hate doing laundry. Maybe if I had a washer/dryer in my apartment it wouldn't be so bac, but I doubt it. I wonder how much the laundromats charge to do laundry for people.
Went with some friends to the Habitat Lounge on Saturday night. The best people watching experience I have had in months. From the gigolos in tight pants to the guy who danced in his seat the whole time I had a blast. It was a great mix of people... older to younger, dressy to casual. The band, which unfortunatly I did not catch the name of, was great. I will have to go again soon.

Help!
Okay, I need 25 people, supposedly my customer base, to add to the art co-op email list by tomorrow. But, I don't have a mailing list. Anyone want to help out and pretend to be a customer? I don't think they will overwhelm you with emails and I am sure you can drop out at any time. If you are interested just send me your email and full name so I can put you on the list.
Thanks!
